Job Summary
Receive and prepare packages for delivery by loading conveyor belts, sorting, scanning orders on handheld devices, and staging deliveries for drivers. Transport, build, wrap, and sort pallets and packages using carts, dollies, and hand trucks while receiving truck deliveries. Work in a climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures, moving vehicles, and equipment like mobile cards and rolling cages. Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs. Lift up to 49 pounds and follow instructions in English. Complete on-the-job training during the first few days before transitioning to your chosen schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Ability to receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Ability to use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Ability to build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Ability to receive truck deliveries of customer packages
- Ability to work early morning and overnight hours
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours), reduced-time (30-39 hours), part-time (20-29 hours), or flex-time (minimum 4 hours/week)
- Ability to work a fixed or flexible schedule
- Ability to work overtime when shift is extended or reduced
- Ability to operate and work around moving equipment—mobile cards, rolling cages, etc.
- Ability to stand in one place for long periods, walk around, or climb stairs
- Ability to work in climate-controlled facilities with temperatures between 60°F and 90°F
- Ability to work in noisy environments
- Ability to wear closed-toe shoes
- Ability to wear protective safety footwear in select areas
