Job Summary
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner, using hand-held devices to process deliveries and capture signatures. Collect money on C.O.D. deliveries, pick up customer returns, and fill out driver return slips. Maintain and secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, and monies; complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs or accidents immediately. Communicate special customer needs to store management and ensure fuel tanks are filled before end-of-day lockout. Clock in/out per policy and perform assigned duties including customer service, sweeping, stocking, and merchandising. Assist customers, serve as a cashier, or handle stock orders when business dictates. A valid state driver's license and strong communication skills are required. Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
- Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system
- Must possess a legally required state driver's license
- Meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive parts
- Ability to operate other light store equipment
- Fluency in multiple languages
- Spanish is highly desired
