Job Summary
Delivery Specialist responsibilities include operating company vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner, processing deliveries with hand-held devices, collecting money on COD deliveries, picking up customer returns, and providing customer service and merchandising support as needed. The role requires maintaining vehicle cleanliness and inspections, securing vehicles, keys, fuel cards, and collected monies, and complying with company policies. Bilingual candidates are encouraged. The position emphasizes safe driving, accurate documentation, ability to communicate issues to management, and potential cashier or merchandising duties when business dictates.
Required Qualifications
- Legally required state driver's license
- Driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements (14/18-point system)
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations
- Knowledge of or experience with automotive parts is desirable
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desired
