Job Summary
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner, using hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, and update mileage. Collect money on C.O.D. deliveries, pick up customer returns, and fill out driver return slips. Maintain vehicles by completing daily inspections, keeping them clean, and reporting maintenance needs or accidents immediately. Ensure fuel is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day. Communicate customer problems to store management and perform additional duties as assigned, including sweeping, stocking, merchandising, and assisting customers. A legally required state driver's license is required, with bilingual skills highly desired. Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
- Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system
- Must possess a legally required state driver's license
- Must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive parts
- Ability to operate other light store equipment
- Fluency in multiple languages
- Spanish is highly desired
