Job Summary
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. Collect money on C.O.D. deliveries, pick up customer returns, and fill out driver return slips. Use fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, and update mileage. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete daily inspections, and report maintenance needs or accidents immediately. Secure keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies at all times. Communicate special customer needs to store management and ensure fuel tanks are filled before end-of-day lockout. Clock in/out per policy and perform assigned duties including sweeping, stocking, merchandising, and cashier assistance when business dictates. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
- Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system
- Must possess a legally required state driver's license
- Must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive parts
- Ability to operate other light store equipment
- Fluency in multiple languages
- Spanish is highly desired
