Job Summary
The Delivery Specialist is responsible for operating company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles, processing deliveries with handheld devices, picking up customer returns, and communicating any issues to store management. Required skills include strong interpersonal communication, the ability to handle changing situations, a valid state driver's license, and a clean driving record. The role may also involve customer service and merchandising tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
- Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system
- Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive parts
- Ability to operate other light store equipment
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
