Job Summary
Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle while ensuring daily delivery schedules are met. Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries. If deliveries slow down, assist in the Yard to help reach weekly hours goals. Prior experience delivering building materials, furniture, or appliances is preferred, along with an acceptable driving record and familiarity with delivery equipment. This role supports Carter Lumber's network of over 160 locations serving professional builders and homeowners across thirteen states.
Required Qualifications
- Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
- An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
- Ability to be a team player
- A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
