Job Summary
Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and transporting goods between facilities and event venues while maintaining accurate records of items. Accompany drivers on routes, inspect vehicles for readiness, and ensure products are properly packed to prevent transit damage. Perform on-site setup and breakdown of event furniture, draping linens, and setting tables with china, glassware, and cutlery according to floor plans and specifications. Handle inventory with care to prevent damage, review completed setups against orders, and return all equipment at the end of each event. Follow safety regulations, collaborate with warehouse teams to meet deadlines, and represent the company professionally at client sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions, setup sheets, floor plans, and safety documents
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, team members, and venue staff
- Ability to perform basic calculations related to deliveries and product counts
- Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise during transport, delivery, or setup
- Basic knowledge of mobile applications and GPS systems to assist with route navigation
- Basic computer skills to document tasks and update delivery paperwork or work orders
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical work
- Knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices
- Ability to work as part of a team and meet tight deadlines
- Must be flexible to work nights and weekends based on event schedules
- Must be able to travel outside of the Miami area, including possible overnight stays
- Attention to detail and pride in the quality and presentation of finished work
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in event rentals, catering, banquet or hotel setup, or similar on-site service work
- Experience handling linens, tabletop, or other delicate product
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
