Job Summary
Operate a delivery vehicle to transport durable medical equipment to healthcare facilities and patient residences, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload equipment, ensuring it is secured properly, then verify and document its condition upon delivery and return. Install and set up durable medical equipment, confirm proper functioning, and provide basic instructions to clients on initial use. Plan and optimize delivery routes, coordinate schedules with the dispatch team, and maintain accurate records including signatures and delivery times. Address customer inquiries professionally while fostering a cooperative work environment. This full-time, salary-based role (8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday) includes a vehicle allowance and bonus opportunities within a leading physician group serving South Carolina and Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the delivery of medical equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks for delivery vehicles
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
