Job Summary
Drive a delivery vehicle to transport durable medical equipment to healthcare facilities and patient residences within the [LOCATION] area. Load and unload equipment, secure it properly, and verify its condition upon delivery and return. Install and set up equipment at facilities and homes, providing basic usage instructions to clients. Coordinate with dispatch for schedules, plan optimized routes, and maintain accurate delivery records including signatures and documentation. Adhere to all traffic laws while operating the vehicle and provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the delivery of medical equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks for delivery vehicles
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment
