Job Summary
Directs and manages delivery activities and department staff at BFS locations, including coordinating schedules between daily delivery schedules and Driver assignments; establishes economical delivery options and optimizes materials handling equipment and delivery vehicles; monitors inventories, production programs, and order changes to revise schedules; leads delivery scheduling to achieve functional and financial goals; emphasizes safety and adherence to procedures; provides staff development through training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions; collaborates with Dispatchers, Drivers, and Yard personnel to ensure efficient operations and achievement of targets; DOT regulatory knowledge and leadership capabilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience coordinating shipping/delivery activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience required.
