Job Summary
Deliver materials to job sites, check orders for accuracy, and organize and secure loads with supervisor approval. Unload materials to customer satisfaction and assist in unloading items returned for credit. Evaluate delivery sites for hazards and obstacles, guiding drivers to avoid damage while maneuvering on and off customer property. Relay customer messages and maintain good housekeeping in the yard and warehouse. Comply with workplace safety policies, complete assigned trainings, and perform other duties as assigned while providing excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with delivery, material handling and/or warehouse
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to read orders
- Ability to write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
- Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications)
