Job Summary
Load and locate job sites, prepare and restore the job site, and prepare the truck for the following day. Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure accuracy. Safely unload product and deliver to the assigned area as directed by the customer, while securing mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck. Navigate routes to the job site, prioritizing deadlines and managing stress. Maintain compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly OSHA and DOT. Stand 90% of the time, moving from commercial motor vehicles to the job site, frequently handling materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Communicate professionally with coworkers and customers, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur. Work independently and on a team to champion an inclusive environment within SRS Distribution Inc., a national building materials distributor.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately
- Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs
- Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time
- Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines
- Must be able to manage stress depending on customer's deadline
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to receive information and directions
- Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs while unloading and loading flatbed
