Job Summary
Deliver pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated area using a personal insured vehicle with a valid license. Navigate adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, and varying weather conditions while carrying products weighing up to 50 pounds. Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and walk-in coolers, prepare products, and process telephone orders. Clean equipment and facilities daily, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork. Make correct monetary change and operate kitchen equipment safely while standing for most of the shift.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area and must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Far vision and night vision for driving
- The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance
- Must navigate five or more flights of stairs
- Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station
- Ability to reach above 72" occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves
- Ability to reach down to perform such tasks as scooping cornmeal from a plastic barrel, or washing dishes
- Ability to reach forward when obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones
- Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area
- Deliver flyers and door hangers
