Delivery Engineering Lead

Job Summary
Serve as the first point of engineering escalation for the Delivery organization, unblocking Team Leads on complex issues by diagnosing problems, determining paths forward, and routing them to Subject Matter Experts to minimize timeline slippage. Build scalable engineering systems by creating processes, documentation, and playbooks that standardize execution across project types and verticals, while converting difficult lessons into reusable automation and templates. Lead Engineering Team Leads through coaching, training programs, and resource readiness planning to ensure technical scopes are sound and major risks are identified early. Promote accountability by ensuring all engineering work meets KODE standards before reaching clients or the Client Success team, while driving innovation to improve delivery velocity through better workflows and data ingestion automation.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in technical implementation, building systems engineering, smart buildings, integrations, software implementation, or technical delivery, with experience supporting or leading engineering teams.
- Strong technical understanding of building systems, integrations, networks, BMS/BAS environments, IoT systems, or technical deployment workflows.
- Strong operational instincts: you know how to spot risk, simplify execution, create structure, and prevent issues before they become project blockers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical trade offs clearly to PMs, Engineering Team Leads, Delivery leadership, SMEs, and client-facing teams.
- Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of coaching team members, raising performance, and creating accountability.
- Strong documentation and process management skills, with the ability to own and maintain engineering documentation, standards, and playbooks.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building lightweight automation, internal tools, dashboards, scripts, or workflows that improve technical team productivity.
- Experience supporting enterprise clients, complex technical deployments, or multi-stakeholder implementation projects.
- Experience with KODE OS or similar configurable technical platforms.
- A doer-leader mindset: someone who can manage the team, build the system, and jump into projects when needed.
