Job Summary
Deliver company products to customers in a courteous manner, ensuring customer satisfaction while managing time efficiently for deliveries and pickups. Operate straight trucks safely under DOT regulations, loading and unloading large windows and doors by hand, and securing products to prevent shipping damage. Inspect vehicles daily, report deficiencies, and advise the supervisor of any delivery or vehicle problems. Complete daily logs, all associated paperwork, and COD payments, verifying signatures before unloading. Notify personnel immediately of traffic violations, accidents, or injuries. Maintain a good driving record and possess or obtain a DOT card.
Required Qualifications
- Experience driving a straight truck (GVWR < 26,000 lbs)
- Good driving Record
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate
- Dependable and regular attendance
- Ability to load and unload large and heavy products (windows, doors, etc.) by hand
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to comply with all state, local, and federal regulations
- Ability to read street, follow directions and have a general knowledge of the Baltimore/DC area
- Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly
- Possesses or is able to obtain a DOT card
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate
