Job Summary
Delivery Driver for Symons Fire Protection delivering fire sprinkler materials and equipment across San Diego County. Responsibilities include safely operating company vehicles to deliver materials to construction and service job sites, loading/unloading and securing loads, verifying contents against packing slips and POs, assisting with inventory and material handling, maintaining delivery records and vehicle inspection reports, coordinating with project managers and field personnel on schedules and priorities, conducting daily vehicle inspections, and providing professional customer service to clients and vendors. Requires reliable attendance, steel-toe footwear, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and relevant certifications/training (Forklift Safety, OSHA 10, CPR, anti-harassment) provided by the company; welding experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent and valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record are required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple deliveries
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Previous delivery, warehouse, construction, or logistics experience
- Experience operating pickup trucks, cargo vans, or flatbed trucks
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Familiarity with construction materials and job site environments
