Job Summary
Safely operate a 16-foot refrigerated box truck to deliver fresh flowers and supplies to customers throughout Virginia routes including Norfolk, Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Richmond, Suffolk, and Lynchburg. Load and unload products weighing up to 60 pounds regularly while maintaining a clean, organized vehicle and reporting maintenance concerns. Navigate assigned routes using GPS and partner with the warehouse team to ensure accurate, on-schedule deliveries with professional customer service. Work full-time Monday through Friday starting at 3:00 AM, with occasional Saturdays required, in a warehouse environment requiring lifting and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience driving commercial vehicles, such as 16-foot box trucks or larger
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification
- Acceptable driving record
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use maps and GPS for route planning and navigation
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings
- Must be available for occasional Saturdays
- Must be available for early start times (3:00 AM on Mondays; 3:30 AM Tuesday through Friday)
- Must be available for daily local and regional delivery throughout assigned Virginia territories
- Must be able to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F)
- Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb in and out of a truck, and sit for extended periods
