Job Summary
Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and accuracy, then accept payments and prepare reports including invoices and reconciliation of all collected moneys. Take directions from the dispatcher, use navigation apps, and assist with loading and unloading without interfering with customer operations. Complete daily maintenance checks on the company vehicle and perform assigned warehouse duties such as stocking and parts pulling. Maintain workplace safety, follow transportation laws, and professionally handle customer complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid driver's license
- Must be able to meet company insurance requirements
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
- Must be 21 years old or over
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of area to deliver packages to customers on time
- Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
- Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for purposes of navigation/ route optimization, tracking and customer interface/ signature capture
- Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of team
- Ability to adhere to assigned routes and time schedules
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to professionally handle complaints and concerns from customers
- Ability to abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- Ability to accept payments, prepare reports to include invoices, return forms, reconcile debt and credit and all moneys collected related to deliveries
- Ability to complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle
- Ability to assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at customer's place of business
- Ability to maintain and promote workplace safety
- Ability to secure and transfer cash or other assets
Desired Qualifications
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed preferred
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
