Job Summary
Deliver prescription orders, equipment, and supplies to long-term care facilities or patient homes along predetermined routes. Load materials into vehicles safely, maintain vehicles, and alert management for maintenance issues. Log deliveries, return documents, and confirm correct medication packaging while ensuring full compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws including HIPAA. Operate delivery vehicles for long periods using GPS navigation and deploy alternative methods during emergencies. Maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality at all times. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and ability to concentrate for extended periods. Nights and weekends schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Current, valid driver's license in the state at the level required for the vehicle's operation
- Ability to drive for long periods of time
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
- Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
- Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Is able to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem
- Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
- Customer service orientation
- Possess geographical knowledge of service area
- Flexibility required Nights and Weekends
