Job Summary
Operate a delivery truck to transport and deliver customer orders to retail locations while adhering to an established schedule and safety standards. Manage orders and materials by unloading, scanning products at each stop, and receiving payment as necessary. Record mileage, delivery loads, and other critical information, reporting any vehicle condition problems immediately. Clean and wash the truck as needed. Maintain a valid driver's license with no restrictions other than corrective lenses, possess a clear driving record with no more than two points, and be over the age of 21. Work outdoors while unloading goods, sometimes exposed to extreme temperatures, involving frequent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions other than corrective lens
- Clear driving record, with no more than two points
- Over the age of 21
- Not a registered sex offender
- Knowledge of safe driving habits and procedures
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations for the operation of motor vehicles
- Knowledge of arithmetic – counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Skill in communicating effectively in writing or speaking as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Ability to drive vehicle safely and efficiently
- Ability to perform the basic clerical tasks such as record keeping and form completion
- Ability to effectively read and understand information contained in memoranda, reports and bulletins, etc.
