Job Summary
Delivers customer orders using a company- or rental-provided vehicle within a defined service area, following planned routes, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, loading/unloading inventory with material handling equipment, and maintaining records of deliveries and customer interactions. Maintains customer service during deliveries, communicates order or delivery issues, and collaborates with the distribution center to address interruptions or missing orders. Requires an acceptable MVR and a valid driver's license, with DOT-regulated procedures and routine supervision. Typically involves overnight travel under 10% and physical exertion including lifting heavy items, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- MVR monitoring
- 1+ years of experience delivering merchandise using a box truck or similar vehicle
- 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility
- Wholesale distribution experience
- Ability to load/unload with material handling equipment
- Pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate company-provided or rental vehicle
- Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws
- Basic record-keeping ability
- Ability to work a route with scheduled deliveries
- Experience with order manifests and route planning
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
