Job Summary
Delivers customer orders using a company-provided or rental vehicle within a defined service area, loads/unloads inventory with material handling equipment, and maintains delivery records. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles before/after trips, reviewing order manifests for accuracy, communicating order statuses to customers, and coordinating with the distribution center to address interruptions or missing orders. Role requires DOT-compliant inspections, ongoing MVR monitoring, and a valid driver’s license. Typical work involves physical activity (lifting 50+ pounds), occasional overnight travel (less than 10%), and regular interaction with customers to resolve delivery issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- MVR acceptable status
- Ability to operate a box truck or similar vehicle
- Experience with loading/unloading and material handling
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and inspection procedures
- 2-5 years of experience in delivery/logistics (preferred)
