Job Summary
Operate trucks safely to deliver merchandise to job sites, customer facilities, and vendor locations while loading and securing cargo at the Profit Center. Review shipping documents to ensure order accuracy, unload goods according to receiving party instructions, and obtain legible signatures for all deliveries. Collect outstanding payments for cash sales, resolve shipping discrepancies with customers, and provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses. Inspect truck conditions prior to departure, maintain a clean cab and body, and report mechanical issues to management. Remove keys to approved locations at the end of the shift and complete required safety and compliance training. Must possess a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years old, and have a driving record meeting Authorized Driver criteria. Earn between $23.98 and $25.98 per hour with access to profit-sharing, full medical and dental coverage, and 401(k) matching.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a proper and valid driver's license
- Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy
- Be able to drive for company business
- Know the laws, rules and regulations governing driving motor vehicles
- Know of, be able to apply, and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers
- Be able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations
- Be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
- Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used in the delivery process
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
