Job Summary
Delivery Driver Non CDL at Hajoca/J&H Aitcheson in Lorton, VA. Operate trucks safely (over 10,000 lbs) to deliver merchandise to job sites, customer facilities, and other locations; load/unload items, secure loads, verify shipping documents, obtain legible signatures, collect outstanding payments for cash deliveries, and provide sales leads. Maintain safety and compliance by performing end-of-day vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues, and completing required training. Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers; follow company policies and DOT regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment and navigate multiple deliveries with accuracy and care. Must have 2+ years of box truck driving experience, be at least 21, hold a valid driver’s license, pass the DOT physical, and communicate in English.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
- 21 years old or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Driving record meets company policy for Authorized Driver
- Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting work and every two years thereafter
- Minimum of two (2) years of box truck driving experience
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work Monday through Friday and handle varying work hours
- Ability to load/unload merchandise safely and verify shipping documents and order accuracy
- Ability to provide customer service and support to customers and vendors
- Ability to learn warehouse material-handling equipment and delivery software
