Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product before making deliveries to customer job sites, home offices, or shops. Load and unload inventory while maintaining accuracy, ensuring manifests are complete and records are prepared per company policy. Provide timely, accurate, and courteous customer service by checking in via company technology to announce arrivals and serve as a liaison. Communicate daily with dispatchers, customer service, and branch logistics while maintaining a neat, safe, and organized work environment. Work Monday through Friday starting at 5 am, with home time every night and weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 23 years of age or older
- Must have experience driving 24' and 26' Commercial vehicles
- 2-5 years driving experience driving commercial vehicles
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass MVR and back-ground check
- Must possess a current, valid Medical Card
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
- Excellent knowledge of the local delivery area
- Ability to sit in vehicle for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for long periods of time
- Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
Desired Qualifications
- CDL Preferred, but not required
