Job Summary
Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product before each run. Make deliveries to customer job sites, home offices, and shops using a company vehicle, loading and unloading inventory while maintaining accuracy. Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work environment and ensure all manifests are complete and accurate. Provide timely, accurate, and courteous customer service, checking in via company technology to announce arrivals and serve as a liaison. Prepare and maintain records according to company policies and communicate with dispatchers and customer service from the field. Work Monday through Friday starting at 5 am with home time every night and weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 23 years of age or older
- Must have experience driving 24' and 26' Commercial vehicles
- 2-5 years driving experience driving commercial vehicles
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass MVR and back-ground check
- Must possess a current, valid Medical Card
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
- Excellent knowledge of the local delivery area
- Ability to sit in vehicle for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for long periods of time
- Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
Desired Qualifications
- CDL Preferred, but not required
