Job Summary
Determine daily routes, assemble, and deliver medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and oxygen to hospice patients while educating clients on proper use. Enforce DOT and FDA regulations, complete delivery processes through an app, and assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repairs of equipment. Maintain warehouse and vehicle cleanliness, perform daily preventive maintenance on the assigned vehicle, and adhere to a rotating schedule that may include weekends and on-call time. This role supports DME Express's commitment to service excellence in the hospice field. A clean driving record, ability to lift 75 pounds, and a positive attitude are required. Required Qualifications
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a daily basis
- Must have positive attitude at all times
- Accepts other duties and activities as assigned
- Must be available for Saturday/Sundays on a predetermined, rotating schedule
- Must be available for on call time on a predetermined, rotating basis during week and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to determine or obtain best daily route
- Must be able to assemble, deliver all needed equipment
- Must be able to educate patient and family on how to properly use equipment
- Must be able to enforce all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to Oxygen and DME
- Must be able to ensure stock levels are appropriate
- Must be able to ensure cleanliness in warehouse and delivery vehicle is up to highest standards
- Must be able to ensure that all Medical Equipment Technicians are adhering to company and accreditation standards
- Must be able to provide patient/client orientation and instructions on the proper use of equipment
- Must be able to work with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems
- Must be able to complete delivery and pickup process through app promptly and accurately
- Must be able to assist in cleaning, disinfecting and minor repair of said equipment
- Must be able to perform daily preventive maintenance, as required, on assigned vehicle
- Must be able to maintain a neat, clean personal appearance
- Must be able to promote teamwork among co-workers that includes assisting fellow drivers, as needed
- Must be able to demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when working with clients
- Must be able to market the company in a positive and professional manner at all times
