Job Summary
Delivery Driver for Jason’s Deli performing food-order pickups and deliveries to residential or commercial addresses. Responsibilities include picking up orders, driving to customer locations, delivering items, assisting with catering setup, collecting payments, handling money and balancing tickets, and addressing customer questions or issues on-site. Requires valid driver’s license, own automobile, 18+, and a DMV-record-based acceptable driving history. Preferred education includes high school diploma or GED; six months of work experience is preferred if not in school. Skills emphasized include memorizing menu abbreviations and prices, reading/writing English, basic math, and effective money handling. Required Qualifications
- Valid State Driver's License
- Own automobile to use for deliveries
- Age 18 or over
- Proof of automobile insurance as required by state
- Clean driving history as per DMV report (no DWI, or up to two speeding violations or minor at-fault accident, or one minor at-fault if deemed minor)
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to memorize menu abbreviations and prices
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) including making change
- Ability to balance money and credit card slips
- Ability to stand for extended periods and kneel/bend as required by delivery duties
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and follow directions for delivery
- Dress code compliance and adherence to health policies
