Job Summary
Delivery Driver for Jason’s Deli responsible for picking up customer food orders, driving to residential or commercial addresses, delivering orders, and assisting with catering setup; requires memorization of menu abbreviations and prices, basic math, English communication, and ability to handle cash and card transactions; shifts include day and/or night, with both part-time and full-time positions offered; benefits include tuition reimbursement, uniforms, and health coverage for full-time employees; emphasis on safe vehicle operation, regular attendance, and customer service in a fast-paced deli environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: preferred to be enrolled in high school or certified G.E.D. program or have high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: at least six months work experience preferred unless currently attending high school, college, or vocational school
- Requirements: valid State Driver's License, own automobile, clean driving history per DMV report with limited violations or at-fault accidents, ability to furnish proof of insurance
- Skills: memorize menu abbreviations/prices, read/write, English proficiency, basic math including addition/subtraction/multiplication/division, balance money and credit card slips
- Health: must not be infected with a communicable disease that is transmissible via food handling per health guidelines
- Essential: stand for extended periods, operate a motor vehicle safely, get in/out of car repeatedly, bend/squat/reach, attend regularly, operate cash registers and credit-card machines
- Major responsibilities: pick up orders, drive to addresses, deliver orders, cater setup, collect payments, restock and re-deliver as needed
- Secondary responsibilities: cleaning duties, restocking, customer assistance
- Performance: 90-day introductory evaluation by GM and Assistants, ongoing evaluation and merit increases

Additional Requirements

- Valid State Driver's License
- Access to own automobile
- No recent DWI convictions
- Limited speeding violations or at-fault accidents as per DMV record
