Job Summary
Deliver all meat and seafood products safely to valued customers while performing pre-truck inspections and ensuring refrigerated trucks maintain required temperatures. Accurately document proof of delivery, manage driver logs, track truck temperatures, handle customer complaints, and collect cheques upon delivery. Complete all necessary paperwork using the RoadNet system and ensure the truck is equipped with tools like pallet straps and hand carts. Requires a Class 5 unrestricted driver's license, ability to lift 80 lbs, and flexibility to work Tuesday through Saturday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Class 5 unrestricted driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Flexibility to work on weekends
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities
- Experience driving a three or five-ton truck
- Basic understanding of the cold chain process
- Basic understanding of technology
- Knowledge of the food industry
- Familiarity with routes and the lower mainland
