Job Summary
Conduct safe and efficient delivery operations by operating trucks, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, fueling vehicles, and securing loads while adhering to strict safety standards. Manage daily yard responsibilities including stocking cart bullpens, inspecting facilities, and conducting quarterly inventory. Maintain professional customer interactions, report equipment or route concerns to supervisors, and perform additional duties as assigned. Work full-time hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with scheduled lunch and rest breaks. Year-round outdoor fieldwork requires lifting up to 50 lbs routinely and driving in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. routinely and up to 90 lbs. occasionally using proper lifting techniques
- Manual dexterity for repetitive grasping, reaching, and handling
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant driving or delivery experience
- Driving: 2 years
- Experience with trucks and equipment
- Experience with fueling vehicles
- Experience with Vehicle Inspection Reports (VIR)
- Experience with radio usage
- Experience with securing loads
- Experience with safe reversing procedures
- Experience with pre- and post-trip inspections
- Experience with accident reports
- Experience with stocking and maintaining cart bullpen and overflow areas
- Experience with inspecting yard and addressing housekeeping needs
- Experience with setting up, repairing, washing, stacking, or disposing of carts and containers
- Experience with conducting quarterly yard inventory
- Experience with safely disposing of landfill extras
- Experience with on-the-job training to operate additional trucks and equipment
- Experience with following oral and written instructions
- Experience with independent work practices
- Experience with legal and defensive driving practices
