Job Summary
Operate a Sprinter van to deliver aftermarket collision auto parts, following optimized routes and ensuring accurate item verification against invoices. Collect payments from customers using cash and checks, reporting discrepancies per company protocols while maintaining professional interactions. Conduct daily vehicle inspections, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Safely load and unload heavy automotive parts, using proper lifting techniques and securing items during transit. Maintain accurate records of routes, transactions, and mileage for submission to the appropriate department.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately
- Familiarity with using technology such as GPS navigation and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy automotive parts, often weighing up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch
- Proficiency in handling and counting cash, checks, and receipts accurately
- Adequate vision to read maps, GPS devices, and complete paperwork accurately
- Sufficient hearing to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and other road users
- Ability to follow safety protocols, recognize potential hazards, and respond appropriately
- Physical stamina to work extended hours and complete deliveries within established timelines
- Ability to handle the demands of a physically active job
- M-F work week; No weekends
