Job Summary
Deliver pizzas and packages to customers' locations while planning and optimizing routes for maximum efficiency. Load and unload items with care, verify delivery information, and obtain necessary signatures. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage, conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks, and assist with inventory management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adhere to all safety regulations. Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record meeting company standards
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for deliveries
- Minimum age of 18 with at least two years of driving experience
- Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in using GPS technology and mobile delivery apps
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing delivery logs
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions
- Ability to deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area
- Ability to stand for most tasks
- Ability to walk for short distances for short durations
- Ability to lift bulk product deliveries using a hand truck
- Ability to deliver cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions of up to 3' x 1.5'
- Ability to lift cases from floor and stack onto shelves up to 72 high
- Ability to carry large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces
- Ability to carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds
- Ability to carry trays of pizza dough three at a time weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray
- Ability to push trays which are placed on dollies with a force of up to 7.5 pounds
- Ability to pull trays
- Ability to navigate stairs or climb a ladder
- Ability to perform forward bending at the waist
- Ability to reach up, down and forward continuously
- Eye-hand coordination
- Continuous use of hands
- Frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous delivery or customer service experience (preferred)
