Job Summary
Operate a reliable personal vehicle to deliver products to customers in Pittsburgh safely and timely, navigating unfamiliar areas and handling varying terrain and weather conditions. Locate addresses, communicate professionally with customers to answer questions, and process cash and card payments accurately while maintaining organized delivery records. Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, report issues to management, and handle products with care to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. Work independently while remaining responsive to dispatch instructions, adapting to unexpected route challenges with problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- Ownership of a reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle
- Ability to read maps and use GPS/navigation systems effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to make correct monetary change and process payments accurately
- Excellent motor coordination and hand-eye coordination for safe vehicle operation
- Physical capability to carry and deliver packages of varying sizes and weights
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail for accurate address location and delivery completion
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unexpected situations
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience or demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction (preferred)
- Previous delivery or logistics experience (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
