Job Summary
Deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships and Dejana locations within the North East Region of the US. Perform minor truck and trailer maintenance, including pre-check and post-check inspections, while accurately maintaining daily driver logbooks. Use maps and directions to ensure economical use of time and equipment, properly assessing site locations for safe access. Maintain a clean driving record with high safety awareness, performing all duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards. Requires a valid driver's license, DOT medical certificate, and high school diploma or GED, with hourly rates ranging from $18.00 to $25.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Familiarity with manual logbooks
- Valid and clean driver's license
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Ability to read, write, and speak English as required by federal regulations
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Level-headed, detail-oriented and safety conscious
- Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of major and minor highways as well as federal motor carrier safety regulation and DOT guidelines
- Good vision
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to climb on and off equipment
- Ability to work safely in changing environmental conditions
- Eligible to work in the US
- Pass background checks
- Pass mvr/drug/alcohol testing
