Job Summary
Deliver petroleum products to residential and commercial customers while performing daily safety checks on the vehicle and maintaining a clean, organized truck stocked with appropriate tools. Review daily manifests, load the truck, and make deliveries according to federal, state, and company regulations. Communicate with dispatchers and routing specialists, proactively report customer concerns, and attend driver meetings. Prime furnaces for customers out of oil or perform leak tests and light pilots for propane users. Maintain a neat personal appearance, clean uniform, and good driving record while adhering to all safety standards and company pledges. Participate in night and weekend on-call schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Delivery drivers must be at least 21 years of age
- All drivers must be able to pass a DOT Physical
- All drivers are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing
- Flexibility to work Saturdays during the heating season
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- At least one year of previous truck driving experience is preferred
- Class B Commercial Driver's License with hazardous materials and tanker endorsement preferred
- 1 year experience as a driver preferred
- CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred, not required
- Good driving record
- Strong Customer Focus and attention to detail
- Confidence making deliveries in all weather conditions
