Delivery Driver

Job Summary
Drive a delivery truck in your assigned zone to deliver products to customer homes or businesses, ensuring safe vehicle operations and directing trucks into unloading areas. Load and unload merchandise, obtain customer signatures, and record deliveries while monitoring vehicle maintenance and inspection schedules. Perform general maintenance, grounds keeping, and stock placement duties at the warehouse or store. This role requires a valid State Driver's License, DOT qualification, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Drivers License
- have a general familiarity with the delivery area
- Must be able to meet DOT requirements
- Medical Examiners Certification
- Driver's DOT qualification file

- the ability to provide guidance, assistance, and/or interpretation to others regarding the application of procedures and standards to specific situations
- the ability to operate equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials requiring complex and rapid adjustments

- the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- the ability to calculate decimals and utilize principles of fractions
- the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
- the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in dealing with situations involving repetitive or short cycle operations or duties carried out according to set procedures
- the ability to exert heavy physical effort
- climbing and balancing
- stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling
- lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 100 pounds)
- handling heavier objects (in excess of 100 pounds)
- the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues or signals
- the ability to communicate orally
- exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, temperature extremes, electric currents or toxic agents/chemicals
