Job Summary
Drive delivery trucks in assigned zones to deliver merchandise to customer homes or businesses, ensuring safe vehicle operations and directing trucks into unloading areas. Load trucks for daily deliveries, unload merchandise at customer locations, and set up displays as necessary. Obtain customer signatures on receipts and record deliveries on delivery records submitted to management. Monitor and perform general maintenance on vehicles, including inspections, fuel/fluid usage tracking, and adherence to safety practices. Maintain cleanliness of store/warehouse interiors and grounds, place stock on shelves, and assemble merchandise as required. Uphold company delivery standards and perform customer service inspections, repairs, or collection field calls for delinquent customers at management's request. Requires a valid state driver's license, DOT qualification, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Drivers License
- have a general familiarity with the delivery area
- Must be able to meet DOT requirements
- Medical Examiners Certification
- Driver's DOT qualification file

- the ability to exert heavy physical effort
- climbing and balancing
- stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling
- lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 100 pounds)
- handling heavier objects (in excess of 100 pounds)
- the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues or signals
- the ability to communicate orally
- exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, temperature extremes, electric currents or toxic agents/chemicals
