Delivery Driver

Job Summary
Drive a delivery truck in assigned zones to deliver merchandise to customers' homes or businesses, ensuring safe vehicle operations and directing trucks into unloading areas. Load and unload trucks, obtain customer signatures on receipts, and record deliveries on delivery records. Monitor and perform general maintenance on vehicles, including inspections, fuel/fluid usage tracking, and adherence to safety practices. Maintain cleanliness of store/warehouse interiors and grounds, place stock on shelves, and assemble merchandise as required. Uphold company delivery standards and handle customer service inspections or repairs as needed. Perform collection field calls for delinquent customers and assist with repossessions of goods.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Drivers License
- have a general familiarity with the delivery area
- Must be able to meet DOT requirements
- Medical Examiners Certification
- Driver's DOT qualification file
- ability to exert heavy physical effort
- climbing and balancing
- stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling
- lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 100 pounds)
- handling heavier objects (in excess of 100 pounds)
- ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues or signals
- ability to communicate orally
- exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, temperature extremes, electric currents or toxic agents/chemicals
