Job Summary
Inspect furniture for damage, load trucks safely, and ensure accurate delivery specifications. Drive box trucks or sprinter vans on delivery routes to trade shows and event venues, installing and assembling furniture based on client instructions. Complete pre and post-trip inspections, maintain electronic logging device records, and perform warehouse duties as needed. Supervise temporary associates onsite and provide professional customer service during deliveries. Work flexible schedules including weekends and nights, with weekly pay and paid training available.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including regular weekends, nights, and/or early mornings, and varied hours
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid and current driver's license in the state of residency
- A minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle
- Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
- Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
- Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
- Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
- Acceptable MVR per CORT's Safe Driving Standards
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US
