Job Summary
Conduct daily DOT truck safety inspections, verify fluid levels, and load beverage cases, kegs, and soda trays before executing delivery routes to retail accounts. Adjust invoices, collect COD payments, and manage cash totals while picking up empty cases and kegs at every stop. Unload product, rotate fresh inventory based on code dates, and return undelivered items or breakage to warehouse locations. Refuel the truck at route end, maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out, and report mechanical or equipment issues to Operations and IT managers. Uphold customer service standards by answering complaints and maintaining the Preferred Supplier reputation across all Wright territories.
Required Qualifications
- Class B CDL License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in fork lift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and handcart
- Must hold a valid, clean NYS Commercial Class A drivers license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts
- Must be able to lift and stack 1 case of can (21 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and stack 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and stack 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and stack ½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to use hands and arms to reach for product
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be available for work outside and exposed to all weather conditions
