Job Summary
Conduct daily DOT truck safety inspections, verify fluid levels, and load beverages before executing delivery routes to retail accounts. Adjust invoices and collect payments for COD accounts while managing cash totals. Unload products, rotate fresh stock based on code dates, and return undelivered items to warehouse locations. Refuel trucks at route end and maintain cleanliness inside and out. Report vehicle, trailer, and equipment issues to Operations and IT managers. Uphold customer service standards by answering complaints and building favorable supplier relationships. Requires a valid Class B CDL (with Class A training provided), strong communication skills, and ability to lift heavy cases in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class B CDL License or Permit
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in fork lift
- Experience in walkie rider
- Experience in electric pallet jack
- Experience in handcart
- Must hold a valid, clean NYS Commercial Class A drivers license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts
- Must be able to lift and stack 1 case of can (21 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and stack 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and stack 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and stack ½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to use hands and arms to reach for product
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be available for work outside and exposed to all weather conditions
