Job Summary
Conduct daily local routes delivering and unloading various food products to bakeries using a tractor-trailer or 26-foot box truck. Operate assigned equipment including electric pallet jacks, liftgates, and hand carts to dock drop supplies and carry items in with a convertible dolly. Lift, push, or move products weighing up to 50 pounds, stack pallets to 72 inches, and transport goods down ramps or stairs. Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, collect required payments, and turn in funds daily. Utilize the Electronic Log Device for DOT Hours of Service and complete vehicle maintenance reports. Work independently or with a driver's helper during daytime hours, with one overnight run weekly where room is provided.
Required Qualifications
- CDL A or B
- Drive Company vehicles - Tractor and Trailer Combination or 26-foot box truck
- Drive Automatic or Manual transmission (10-speed)
- Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows
- Unload products from the truck by hand or using a hand cart, and place them in designated customer storage areas
- Transporting products down ramps, stairs, or docks
- Lift, push, or move a product that weighs 1-50 pounds
- Reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required, and turn in all funds collected daily
- Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns
- Use the provided Electronic Log Device for DOT Hours of Service
- Complete company vehicle maintenance reports
- Safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallet jacks, load bars, liftgate, and personal protective equipment
- Experience utilizing electric pallet jack, truck liftgate, and hand trucks
