Job Summary
Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes, time schedules, and dispatcher directions. Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction. Take and follow directions, utilize navigation apps, and maintain a safe driving record while abiding by transportation laws. Assist with loading and unloading items without interfering with customer operations, provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints. Accept payments, prepare reports including invoices and return forms, reconcile debts and credits, and complete daily maintenance checks on the company vehicle. Assist with any assigned store or warehouse duties such as stocking and parts pulling. Maintain and promote workplace safety while securing and transferring cash or other assets.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid driver's license
- Must be able to meet company insurance requirements - (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for purposes of navigation/ route optimization, tracking and customer interface/ signature capture
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of team
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
