Job Summary
Deliver material to customer shops and job sites in a safe and prompt manner. Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections to comply with DOT regulations. Maintain and operate delivery truck, load/unload material, secure cargo, check orders for accuracy, and develop efficient delivery routes. Communicate effectively with customers and report issues to Branch Manager. Train on warehouse equipment and operate forklift. Assist in cleaning and maintenance of warehouse, stock materials, pull orders for delivery or shipping, and assist in receiving as needed. Adhere to OSHA regulations and maintain CDL compliance. Able to lift 20-50 lb objects regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally; work in varied indoor/outdoor environments with exposure to cold/heat and noise.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Daily contact with customers requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
