Job Summary
Load merchandise, secure cargo, and unload trucks at specified locations while conducting pre-departure inspections and planning routes to meet delivery times. Maintain accurate shipment documentation and quickly learn store-to-store transfer processes. Use excellent customer relations with internal and external clients. Perform duties as directed by management. Requires 2 years of box truck experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently. Open availability with weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 2 Years of Box Truck driving experience
- Weekends required
- Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- No more than 2 moving violations and/or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years
- Flexibility for long haul assignments
- Knowledge of safe operation of a heavy truck
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local motor vehicle safety laws
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers
- Knowledge of employment procedures
- Knowledge of merchandise handling procedures
- Knowledge of safety procedures
- Ability to perform stooping
