Job Summary
Conduct pre-departure vehicle inspections, pack and load products according to specifications, and deliver orders to customers on assigned routes. Maintain ongoing communication with the route dispatcher, unload goods per client specifications, and review deliveries with customers to ensure product needs are met. Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer and assist the Department Team Leader with daily tasks or fill in for absenteeism. Notify leadership of equipment, device, or product problems. Perform other duties as assigned while prioritizing, organizing, and working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Input detailed and accurate data into computers, tablets, or phones.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum 1 year's experience as Delivery Driver
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 100 pounds and push or pull 150 pounds
- Ability to read reports, orders, and other documentation
- Ability to see and read reports, and other documentation
- Ability to hear
- Ability to use fingers to handle paper and input data into computers
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to input detailed and accurate data into computers, tablet or phone
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently
- Must possess a positive and professional attitude
