Job Summary
Drive between West Hempstead and multiple New York City locations to deliver paint and supplies efficiently, loading and unloading vehicles while conducting routine maintenance checks. Manage delivery documentation including orders and receipts, and provide customer service by resolving issues and cultivating relationships with regular clients. Assist with in-store sales, consultations, and inventory monitoring to report shortages, while collaborating with sales and store teams to facilitate smooth workflows. Ensure compliance with transportation and safety laws and attend team meetings to improve delivery strategies. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, two years of urban delivery experience, and the ability to work a 10-hour day starting at 5:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years driving and delivery experience, especially in an urban setting like NYC
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Physically fit to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies frequently
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Proficient in managing logistics documentation
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations patiently and professionally
