Job Summary
Deliver pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated area using a personal insured vehicle with a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and varying weather conditions while carrying product. Operate all equipment, stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and walk-in cooler, and prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders, make correct monetary change, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Clean equipment and facility daily, take inventory, complete associated paperwork, and deliver flyers and door hangers. Perform physical tasks including lifting cases up to 50 pounds, pushing trays on dollies, and climbing stairs as required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area and must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Far vision and night vision for driving
- The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance
- Must be able to navigate five or more flights of stairs
- Must be able to perform forward bending at the waist
- Must be able to reach above 72"
- Must be able to push a stack of trays on a dolly requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force
- Must be able to carry pizzas and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties
- Must be able to deliver product by car and then to door of customer
- Must be able to deliver flyers and door hangers
